Indigenous Apprenticeship Initiatives proposals for 2020-21 will begin in January 2020.

Apprentices can now complete Landscape Horticulturist technical training in Saskatchewan through the University of Saskatchewan’s Prairie Horticulture Certificate program.  Previously, technical training for Saskatchewan apprentices was available only through Olds College located in Alberta.

Roofer apprenticeship training is now available!

Training has been designed so that an apprentice does not have to leave the workplace.

The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF) has launched the Apprentices in Canada panel to hear about your experience working in the skilled trades. Check out this video and share your perspective with them  to win cash and other prizes.

It is important for Construction Electricians to remain up to date when the codes change. An free online course has been developed by SaskPower to provide a quick overview of the latest changes, currently of the 2015 Canadian Electrical Code and the 2015 Saskatchewan Interpretations booklet.

Due to harmonization, as well as some operational changes, the SATCC has recently updated the Commission Regulations.

The Ministry of Government Relations is conducting a survey to better understand if provincial regulations related to electrical licensing and the licensing process are adequate, clear and current.

Licensed electrical contractors, journeymen, employers, and supply houses are invited to participate between June 20th and July 20th.
