Get certified in one of more than 40 designated trades in Saskatchewan.

Apprentices spend 85 per cent of their time on the job learning from a journeyperson, and school once per year for 6-10 weeks, depending on the trade. Most apprenticeships last from two to four years.

Potential apprentices must find an employer willing to hire and train them. Applications for apprenticeship are submitted online through MyATC. Once apprentices complete all their training levels, they can write the journeyperson certification exam, and complete the practical exam if necessary.
