SYA Industry Scholarship
SYA Industry Scholarships are redeemable for $1,000 and awarded to eligible high school graduates who have completed the SYA program and are pursuing a career in the skilled trades.
Candidates must:
- be nominated for the scholarship by their SYA Champion,
- complete high school in the current school year,
- complete SYA, and
- complete and submit the scholarship application form to the SYA Coordinator.
SYA Champions select and nominate students for the scholarship. A panel of SATCC staff review the nominations and make the final selection.
Recipients redeem the scholarship within two years of high school graduation by either registering as an apprentice in Saskatchewan and completing Level 1 technical training or by completing a recognized pre-apprenticeship program in a trade designated in Saskatchewan.
