Effective February 22, 2016, the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) mailed out all documents pertaining to the 2015 Taxation Year.

Mobile Crane Operator, Mobile Crane Operator (Hydraulic) and Tower Crane Operator were three of the first ten trades involved in the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) Harmonization Initiative project. Following harmonization consultations across Canada, it is being recommended that Mobile Crane Operator will be the only mobile crane operator trade in Saskatchewan, with Boom Truck Operator ‘A’ and Boom Truck Operator ‘B’ as it’s subtrades.
The Recreation Vehicle Service Technician (RVST) is now a designated, apprenticeable trade in Saskatchewan, according to the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC). Recreation Vehicle Service Technicians inspect, diagnose, service, repair, replace and overhaul all systems and components on recreation vehicles.
The best of the best new journeypersons will be recognized for achieving the top marks in their skilled trades at the 2015 Apprenticeship Awards in Regina tonight.

The Women in Trades & Technology Department of Saskatchewan Polytechnic is launching a mentorship program to link female students enrolled in traditionally male trades with experienced women in trades and technology careers. The program is looking for female apprentices or journeypersons who would be interested in becoming mentors.
The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is calling for nominations for an Outstanding Employer and Outstanding Instructor Award. We ask that you consider nominating a deserving employer or instructor for these awards.
The National Apprenticeship Survey (NAS) will be conducted by Statistics Canada from September 2015 to February 2016.
