One hundred high school graduates from 66 Saskatchewan communities received Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Industry Scholarships in 2016.

Boom Truck Operator A&B upgrading course, facilitated by Western Trades Training Institute. May 3 – May 7.

Mobile Crane Operator upgrading course, facilitated by Western Trades Training Institute. June 8 – June 19, 2020.

The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC), in cooperation with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, has developed a Cook apprenticeship technical training program that combines online theory learning with in-class practical training.  Registered apprentices now have the opportunity to participate in the first delivery of Level One Online (Hybrid) training scheduled for January 9, 2017 to May 28, 2017.

The Locksmith program is changing, effective for the 2016-17 academic year.  Registration for 2016-17 begins on May 26, 2016.

The fourteenth annual Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony and Banquet tonight celebrates 70 years of a successful apprenticeship and trade certification system in Saskatchewan, in addition to the exceptional accomplishments of the 2014 award winners.

Effective February 22, 2016, the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) mailed out all documents pertaining to the 2015 Taxation Year.

Mobile Crane Operator, Mobile Crane Operator (Hydraulic) and Tower Crane Operator were three of the first ten trades involved in the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) Harmonization Initiative project. Following harmonization consultations across Canada, it is being recommended that Mobile Crane Operator will be the only mobile crane operator trade in Saskatchewan, with Boom Truck Operator ‘A’ and Boom Truck Operator ‘B’ as it’s subtrades.
