Saskatchewan Apprenticeship is committed to maintaining a responsive, industry-driven apprenticeship certification system that meets labour market needs. In order to meet this mandate, Saskatchewan Apprenticeship is raising apprenticeship fees.
Effective February 8, 2017, the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) mailed out all documents pertaining to the 2016 Taxation Year.

The Government of Saskatchewan today announced amendments to the province’s Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Regulations, 2003, as part of its commitment to ensuring a quality apprenticeship system in the province, and to reducing inter-provincial barriers to labour mobility.

The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed October 31 to November 6 as Skilled Trades and Technology Week. This proclamation aligns with National Skilled Trades and Technology Week, as well as celebrations happening across the country.
This year, 34 new journeypersons will be recognized for their outstanding achievements at an awards event hosted by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) at the Queensbury Convention Centre in Regina Friday, October 21. The new journeypersons will be recognized for achieving the highest marks on the journeyperson certification exam in their designated trades between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.
One hundred high school graduates from 66 Saskatchewan communities received Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Industry Scholarships in 2016.
