The 2020 Apprenticeship Awards ceremony scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina has now been cancelled in order to comply with COVID-19 public health orders on mass gatherings.
Indigenous Apprenticeship Initiatives proposals for 2020-21 began in January 2020. The deadline for applications has now been extended to June 29, 2020.

Today, the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) announced Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Industry Scholarships for 100 graduating high school students in 72 communities across the province.
The SATCC and Saskatchewan Polytechnic are pleased to offer an Upgrading course for apprentices in the Sheet Metal Worker (SMW) trade beginning in October 2019.
The 8-week course is based on the latest Red Seal Occupational Standard and will be delivered online through Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
All 2019 tax slips from the SATCC have now been mailed out.
Southeast College will serve as the new training provider for Powerline Technician apprentices in Saskatchewan, beginning in the fall of 2020.
Apprentices will continue to attend training at the same facility in Weyburn.
Today, the Government of Saskatchewan proclaimed new apprenticeship and trade certification legislation, broadening the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission’s (SATCC) designation and certification authority, and allowing the SATCC to more effectively manage its regulatory function.
