Red Seal Journeyperson Certification Exams to be delivered online in Regina
Red Seal certification exams scheduled for the Regina exam centre (Third floor, 2221 Cornwall Street) will transition to online exam delivery, starting in February.
Exam takers will continue to write exams in the Regina exam centre. However, they will use computers and online exam software, rather than pen and paper.
Saskatchewan is the first jurisdiction in Canada to offer Red Seal exams electronically.
The first online regular sit exam will take place Tuesday, February 13 at the Regina exam centre.
The first final level online certification exams will take place Friday, February 16 and Friday, February 23 at the Regina exam centre.
Special sit exams scheduled to take place in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and North Battleford will also transition to online formats starting in the spring of 2024.
There are many benefits to online exams. They’re quicker and easier to mark, meaning test takers will receive their results sooner. Online exams are also more cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and offer enhanced security, which helps protect the integrity of the certification exam.
