Self-Register for Apprenticeship Technical Training in 2022-23

Apprentices eligible to attend technical training in 2022-23 are encouraged to self-register in MyATC as soon as possible. The 2022-23 training year runs July 1, 2022 until June 30, 2023.

Apprentices are expected to attend technical training once per training year. Apprentices who don’t attend annually risk having their apprenticeship contract cancelled. Technical training is a critical component of apprenticeship. To remain active in the system, apprentices must regularly progress through their apprenticeship.

Apprentices no longer receive training notices from the SATCC inviting them to attend training. Apprentices are responsible for registering for any technical training they are eligible for. Technical training is being filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The full 2022-23 training schedule is available on the SATCC website. It is the responsibility of apprentices and employers/Joint Training Committees (JTCs) to work together to determine mutually agreeable training times.

All 2022-23 courses have been available for self-registration in MyATC since Wednesday, May 11. All courses will remain open until they are either filled or cancelled due to lack of demand. Seats are still available for fall technical training courses.

For more information on registering for training, apprentices can review the “Registering for Training” knowledge article in MyATC Client Knowledge or take the “Registering for Training” tour in MyATC.

Classes are continually filling. If classes for your trade/level are full or nearly full in MyATC, please contact us. (If classes are full for your trade/level, you will not be able to choose a course from the appropriate drop-down menu in MyATC.)
