One hundred high school graduates from 79 communities across the province are receiving Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Industry Scholarships. The scholarship program, launched in 2009, is overseen by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC). Scholarships are presented to SYA program participants who plan to pursue careers in the skilled trades. Today kicks off the week long Skills Canada Saskatchewan Virtual Provincial Competition. Apprentices, post-secondary students and high school students from across the province will showcase their skills for a chance to win medals and earn recognition.
