MyATC Frequently Asked Questions
MyATC is a new online, self-service system that provides faster and more efficient service for apprentices, trade qualifiers, journeypersons and employers across the province.
By using MyATC:
- Apprentices can complete an application for registering as an apprentice, submit fee payments, view training requirements, access training classes and exam results, and log workplace hours.
- Journeypersons can approve an apprentice’s hours and skills.
- Employers can submit payments, manage apprentices and journeypersons, and monitor apprentice training and work progress.
- SYA Participants can view levels completed and print their completion certificates.
- SYA Schools can approve youth apprentice registration, and request and access completion certificates.
On the Apprentice login side, individuals access MyATC: apprentices, SYA participants, trade qualifiers, and journeypersons who are accessing services for themselves – for instance, requesting a replacement certificate.
On the Employer login side, educators associated with SYA schools login, as well as apprentice employers, including supervising journeypersons who need to approve apprentices’ hours and skills.
Beginning Monday, January 10, 2022, clients are able to use MyATC.
Yes, you can use MyATC on a mobile device; however, it is optimized for a desktop experience.
MyATC is like other online applications you may have used in the past such as online banking or booking a hotel reservation, and is designed to be user-friendly.
For new clients, the SATCC website provides information on how to sign up and log in.
Current clients were sent information via Canada Post on getting set up in the system; clients should have received this information at the end of December 2021 or early January 2022. In addition, once logged in to MyATC, there are help articles built into a system knowledge base to help clients navigate the process.
The expectation is that clients use the system. MyATC provides clients with many benefits, including access to information when it’s convenient for them; however, SATCC staff are always willing to walk you through the process over the phone or in person at one of our offices.
Field Services staff are still making visits to employers and can provide support or answer questions about MyATC if requested.
Exceptions will be made for clients who don’t have internet access. SATCC staff can enter information into MyATC behalf of clients if there is a significant obstacle preventing use of the system.
Yes, SATCC staff are available to help you during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. MyATC provides you with service wherever and whenever you want. In addition to communicating by email or through MyATC, clients have several options:
• Visit the comprehensive knowledge centre within the system that walks you through the process step-by-step.
• Visit any SATCC office and speak to a staff member in person.
• Call SATCC’s offices directly to speak to a staff member.
• For employers, Field Consultants are making worksite visits and can answer your questions in person or walk you through how to use MyATC.
You should have received a letter via Canada Post between the end of December 2021 and early January 2022. This letter includes your PIN. This PIN links you to your current information stored within MyATC.
If you don’t already have one, create a Saskatchewan Account. https://services.saskatchewan.ca/#/login
Once you have logged in to your Saskatchewan account, select MyATC as a service for which you want to connect.
Enter the PIN when prompted and you will be connected to MyATC.
Before you can login to MyATC, you are required to create a Saskatchewan Account. If you don’t already have one, create your account. https://services.saskatchewan.ca/#/login
Once you have logged in to your Saskatchewan account, select MyATC as a service for which you want to connect. Continue through the process and select MyATC as a service.
As a current employer, you will be able to login directly to MyATC from the SATCC homepage. Click on the link in the upper right corner of your screen. When the MyATC login page pops up, choose the appropriate login box (Employer). You should have received a registration code at the end of December 2021 or early January 2022 in the mail. You must use this code to login the first time.
Call the SATCC and speak to a Case Management Consultant. You will be provided with a registration code to login for the first time. You can share this registration code with others in your organization so they can link their account to your business or school.
On the apprentice side, the register button is for users who haven’t yet set up a Saskatchewan Account. The log-in button can be used by those who already have a Saskatchewan Account.
On the employer side, the register button is for new employers, Joint Training Committees (JTCs), or SYA Schools; or for current employers, JTCs and SYA schools who are accessing MyATC for the first time. The login button is used by employers, JTCS and SYA schools who’ve registered for MyATC and are now logging in to access the system.
Simply call the SATCC and speak to a Case Management Consultant and they will help you.
Registration for technical training and exams will be first-come first-served with MyATC.
It is the responsibility of apprentices and employers/Joint Training Committees to work together to determine mutually agreeable training times.
Apprentices will need to register themselves for training (or an SATCC staff member can register the apprentice on their behalf if there is a barrier to them registering themselves.) Employers cannot register apprentices for training on the apprentices’ behalf.
Apprentices can only register themselves into training if they have the required number of hours. Clients can find this information in the system by looking up their program case.
Employers will receive a notification when one of their apprentices registers for an exam or technical training. The employer will be directed to log in to MyATC to view the Event RSVP list for more information.
SATCC staff will continue to work with clients to help facilitate their progress through the apprenticeship and certification system.
- Visit the comprehensive knowledge centre within the system that walks you through the process step- by-step;
- Visit any SATCC office and speak to a staff member in person; or
- Call SATCC’s offices directly to speak to a staff member.
At this time, credit is only accepted online. If you wish to pay by debit, please visit the Regina or Saskatoon offices.
Yes, this enhancement has been released in MyATC and can be used to improve your experience within the system.
This enhancement, targeted specifically at employers and Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) schools, enables a school or employer contact to manage multiple accounts through a single “super user” account.
Employers and SYA schools cannot access this enhancement on their own. SATCC staff can set up this access for you.
If you are interested in this option within MyATC, please contact us at 1-877-363-0536 or apprenticeship@gov.sk.ca.
MyATC is an online, web-based system containing personal and private information of past and present clients. In order to ensure the security and privacy of individuals’ information, the Government of Saskatchewan requires MyATC to have multi-factor authentication for users of the system.
There are two ways of doing this – through a mobile app or by downloading a desktop computer authenticator. More detailed instructions on this procedure can be found in the Guide to Registering for MyATC – Employer/Admin.
Our SATCC offices will be closed from Wednesday December 25 and Thursday December 26. We look forward to serving you again when we reopen on Friday December 27.
Happy Holidays
