Do you know about the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship Program (SYA) program for high school students in Grades 10 to 12?

It is run by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) in conjunction with participating schools across Saskatchewan.

SYA Graduates:

•  In the last 6 years, 1,020 SYA completers enrolled as apprentices
(about 43.5% of SYA  completers).

•  SYA completers, who become apprentices, on average are younger
(about 20 years old) than other apprentices (about 25 years old).

•  SYA completers who achieved their journeyperson certification are, on
average, three years younger than the general population of
journeypersons.  (23 years old compared to 27 years old).
