Roxanne Ecker became the representative for women in predominately male trades on the Commission Board in June 2013. She began in the skilled trades through a program called Construction Technology for Women in high school. She went into the Electrical trade and took her Apprenticeship through Alliance Energy and then the Government of Saskatchewan in the maintenance department. She received her Journeyperson certification in January 2009.
Roxanne has also taught workshops for women considering the trades or wanting home repair information, through her involvement with Saskatchewan Women in Trades and Technologies (SaskWITT).
Roxanne serves on the Board of Directors’ Trade Board Appointments Committee and Inclusion and Program Innovation Committee.
