A survey on electrical licensing is now open

The Ministry of Government Relations is conducting a survey to better understand if provincial regulations related to electrical licensing and the licensing process are adequate, clear and current.

Licensed electrical contractors, journeymen, employers, and supply houses are invited to participate between June 20th and July 20th.

The survey is available here: https://surveyanyplace.com/s/electricallicensing

You might also receive an email from the ministry informing about it.

It should only take about 15-20 minutes to complete the survey. Individual responses will be kept completely anonymous.

Provided input will contribute to improving regulations and policy on electrical licensing in our province.

Please contact Government Relations at electricallicensingsurvey@gov.sk.ca with any questions you might have.

Thank you for your interest.

You can apply to be assessed to see if you would meet eligibility to write the certification examination here in Saskatchewan. We would require the following to be submitted:

      • Form 7 – Trade Qualifier Application ($380.00 non-refundable fee)
      • Translated copies of Credentials (Diplomas/Certificates/Transcripts)
      • Form 6a – Verification of Trade Experience to be completed by your employer(s)

Please note you must be a resident of Saskatchewan and approved prior to take any online training.

Please note Interprovincial Journeyperson status will not be acquired until the Interprovincial Journeyperson Written examination has been passed. Visit our website regarding all the designated trades in Saskatchewan and to acquire the forms listed above: http://www.saskapprenticeship.ca. Under “Worker” and Trade Qualifier you will find the step by step process.
