Transferring out of Saskatchewan:
Helpful hints when transferring your apprenticeship to another province or territory:
- Contact the province/territory you wish to move to and ask them what information and forms they need to transfer your apprenticeship to their jurisdiction.
- Fill out the appropriate forms for that jurisdiction to initiate an apprentice transfer request. Most provinces/territories will contact Saskatchewan directly to request your apprenticeship documents.
- Transfer requests from other provinces/territories can be sent to [email protected].

The Indigenous Apprenticeship Initiatives (IAI) is currently open for proposals.
This program funds initiatives aiding Indigenous individuals pursuing careers in skilled trades. Indigenous partners, such as tribal councils, bands, and training institutions can apply. More info: bit.ly/3PB5MHZ

The Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) program gives high school students the opportunity to learn more about skilled trades career pathways and gain a head start on their skilled trades career, should they register as an apprentice after graduation.
